Scholarship Agreement

  • I understand that my foundation scholarship is subject to review and approval by the Office of Student Financial Aid. This review may impact the award amount.
  • I acknowledge that the scholarship funds will be disbursed directly to my educational institution, and I agree that I will not receive any direct monetary payment under my circumstances.
  • I understand my scholarship will be granted based on the quarter(s) I intend to enroll in during the upcoming academic year. Disbursements will not be made as a single lump sum, except for transfer scholarships.
  • I will not receive any funds for quarters I do not attend, and I cannot combine scholarships per quarter.
  • I am aware that my scholarship can be used to cover educational expenses for the 2026-27 academic year, extending to items beyond tuition and fees such as books, supplies, and other related costs.
  • I acknowledge that my award must be utilized within the 2026-27 academic year and cannot be transferred to another academic year.
  • I understand that my award cannot be applied towards past education expenses or debt, nor Prior Learning Credits (PLA).
  • I understand that it is my responsibility to confirm the scholarship has been credited to my student account, and I will pay any remaining balance before the payment deadline.
  • I understand that I must notify the Foundation of any changes to my enrollment status while I am receiving Foundation scholarship funds. I understand these changes will impact my scholarship status. (Includes transferring from one Seattle college to another and any changes to my selected quarters.)
  • I understand that any amendments and changes to my scholarship must be submitted prior to the start of the quarter in order to comply with financial aid policies and procedures.
  • I accept responsibility for maintaining a satisfactory academic record each quarter.
  • Should I fail to fulfill the SAP requirements, I understand I risk losing my scholarship.
  • I authorize the college and Foundation to use my name and/or picture for publicity purposes aimed at generating awareness of my scholarship award.
  • I agree to upload a typed thank you letter. I understand this letter will be used to share with donors, Seattle Colleges Foundation Board of Directors, who made my scholarship possible.
