Volunteer Scholarship Reviewers

Annually, we work alongside more than 200 committed volunteers who dedicate their time and efforts in reviewing student applications for our annual scholarship program. Through our online reviewing system, volunteers are able to review applications in the comfort of their own homes or offices at times that work best with their schedules.

Volunteer reviewers get a chance to review applications from students throughout all three of the Seattle Colleges. This is a great opportunity to really get to know the students of the Seattle Colleges. Reviews will take place between late-March to mid-April. Our team will provide training and assistance throughout the process. No previous experience is necessary.

Eligibility: 
•    Staff, faculty, alumni and community members are all eligible to volunteer.
•    Current Seattle Colleges students are not eligible. Alumni of Seattle Colleges must have graduated at least one year prior.

Details & Time Commitment: 
•    The application review period will run from March 25 - April 8.
•    The process is 100% online, managed through our application portal.
•    There will be a comprehensive online training session in March.
•    Each reviewer will be assigned 15-20 applications.
•    Each application will take approximately 10-15 minutes to review. 
•    You will be provided with a clear rubric to use in scoring.
