Seattle Colleges Foundation Scholarships
The 2022-23 scholarship application is closed!
Don’t miss your chance at sharing in the million+ dollars in scholarship funding available this year. Even if your other aid will cover costs like tuition, fees and books, there’s more to getting through college. A scholarship from the Seattle Colleges Foundation could help you with housing…food…transportation…childcare — any educational expense associated with succeeding in school.
If you work, a scholarship could help you work less. It’s well established that students with jobs of more than 15 hours a week struggle to keep their grades up and are at greater risk of dropping out.
So apply! Most scholarships range between $3,500 and $4,500 for the year. Students of almost every kind are eligible, provided they’ll be attending a Seattle College — North, Central or South — in the upcoming 2022-23 academic year:
- Incoming and current students
- Associate's, B.A.S. and B.S. students
- International students
- Dreamers
- Running Start students who will be graduating from high school this year
- Students planning to transfer
Here’s a preview of what you’ll need to do:
- Complete the FAFSA or WASFA. This is a requirement, because if you don’t, you’re likely leaving money on the table. (Exceptions to this rule described here in our FAQ’s.)
- Identify two people who will reference for you. One needs to be an instructor or staff member at the Seattle Colleges. They’ll each fill out a short online form.
- Fill out your part of the application, including a couple of short essays describing your goals and how a scholarship will help.
The process is competitive, but with a million dollars to distribute, if you submit a strong application, your chances are good.
