Seattle Colleges Foundation Scholarships
The 2021-22 Seattle Colleges Foundation Scholarship Application is now closed. Please check back in Winter 2022 for the 2022-23 application and to encourage students to apply at that time.
Seattle Colleges is an open-access institution that supports a diverse population who face significant gaps in educational attainment. Of the challenges students encounter, financial barriers and high student debt are among the largest.
Many Seattle residents with demonstrated financial need cannot get sufficient financial aid, which severely affects college access, retention, and completion. The expense of going to college includes not just tuition, books, and fees, but also housing, childcare, transportation, and food. Traditional sources of student financial support have not kept pace with rising college costs, and despite the need, just 13 percent of our students at Seattle Colleges are receiving financial aid.
Our primary goal: To remove financial barriers, the Seattle Colleges Foundation (SCF) annual scholarship program provides financial support to students each year to cover tuition, fees, books, and other educational expenses through a competitive application process.
Our annual scholarship application cycle is open during Winter quarter for the following students:
- Incoming and current students
- BAS students
- International students
- Running Start students who will be graduating from high school this year
These are students who plan on attending North Seattle College, Seattle Central College, and South Seattle College in the upcoming academic year. Through the same application we also offer scholarships to students transferring from the Seattle Colleges to any four-year university/college in the U.S.
