Overcoming challenges early on motivated Seattle Central's Tammara Stephens toward a career in service to others. While juggling parenthood of her two daughters, she worked to complete her associate degree and her bachelor’s degree in community health and human services. Financial assistance from scholarships helped make it possible.

I don't want [donors] to ever question if giving money is a good thing to do ... Attending college changed my life ... and receiving a scholarship made all of that possible.
