Give Now to the Application Development Capstone Showcase

Your contribution empowers students to understand they can make real-world impact.

Background

North Seattle College's Application Development program brings students from broad demographics together to learn software development through practical exercises and projects that utilize real-world tools and technologies. Program alumni include members of prominent startups, Fortune-500 companies, and impactful non-profit organizations. The AD program succeeds with the help of not only faculty and staff, but also dedicated industry and community members, who keep the program and its students current and grounded..

2021 Capstone Showcase

This spring, students will complete their culminating Capstone Projects, meant to show how their learning can yield practical, impactful results via a new application. Select students will demonstrate and discuss these projects at a virtual Capstone Showcase in June.

The Capstone Showcase raises the stakes on student projects beyond just an ordinary class presentation and highlights how students can make real-world impact.

Audience members include industry guests, community members, alumni, faculty, and staff. Guests help rate the projects based on a rubric of learning objectives, growth, and impact. A grand prize of $1000 and a runner-up prize of $250 will be awarded.

Fundraising Goal: $1,250

With your help, we hope to raise $1,250 to ensure that the 2020 Capstone Showcase continues to be a forum to spotlight our brilliant students and to engage them with our community. Your gift will help fund student prizes – not only as a motivational tool but also as a real-world recognition for a job well done. Any funds raised over the cost of the event and prizes will be reserved to support future North Seattle College Application Development efforts.
